Fall Recipe Yumminess!

We made it to Texas & we are so happy to see our family!!!! So I was inspired today to share a recipe with y'all for a (home cooked) comfort meal, that should absolutely be shared with family! This recipe just came to me while I had been looking for all sorts of ways to cook with apples...(how else is a girl supposed to use up all the apples from her apple tree?). I threw together this fantastic fall meal last week and it was pretty darn delicious. So I had to share it with you guys.

*****I made pulled pork & onion sandwiches, on sweet potato biscuits with Cinnamon baked apples on top.....& it was party in yo' mouth yummy!

I had a little help with an amazing sweet potato biscuit recipe...You can click here for it.

I then sliced a few apples & sweet onions and combined them in a slow cooker for 6 hours on the warm setting (along with the pork & a little bit of beef broth to cover the bottom). * Be sure to season your pork well with salt & pepper and any other spice you would like to add.

I then just sliced up some more apples & cooked them on the stove with a little bit of cinnamon, a dash of sugar & vanilla, butter, & water to keep from burning on the bottom. I did this right before serving so they would be fresh. It takes about 20 to 30 mins for them to cook down & be DELICIOUS!

I then put the pork and cinnamon apples in between two yummy bites of sweet potato biscuit...it was pure bliss.
A little tip: Just make sure that you eat them right away because they can get soggy or start to crumble...but they are worth every bite.

I hope these made you as hungry as talking about them makes me. I hope you have a fantastic day & will try them soon with your families. I will see you guys tomorrow!
