Now on to today's "Courtney doesn't do complacent well" project, haha. I seem to always be re-doing, re-purposing, or re-arranging something in my house and especially Olly's room. Lately I have been staring at a dark table that's next to his reading chair (which houses all of his books) with such dislike. It's just such a bland & uninteresting table....ickkkk so blah.
Do you ever feel that way? You know, it's the piece of furniture you hate to get rid of but you almost forget that you can do something to it to change its appearance? Well, maybe I am the only one, haha. I completely "forgot" that changing it was possible. Sometimes my creativity does stay inside the box until I remind myself that anything is possible. So I was determined last week that this was going to be a bland table no more! So I looked around the house and saw what I had to work with instead of having to trek into town to the nearest Home Depot. I had some spray paint, a sanding block, and an unused stencil hanging around, so I quickly got to work before the motivation wore off.
Here are a couple of before & after shots.
Tell me I am not the only one who cannot leave well enough alone and I'm not the only one who creates projects for myself?! And if there are any others out there, just know its just an extra added layer of design flair to brighten your day...the jewels of the room if you will. Have a great day you fantastic readers, see you crazy kiddos tomorrow!
