Deck the halls with garland balls!

Thursday, December 1, 2011

You guys have been so amazing lately and one thing I cannot get over is how many of you love the yarn ball garlands I make. So today is the day that I give one I made especially for all of you away!
This is the exact Christmas garland the winner will be getting.

This wool Christmas beauty deserves to deck your halls! It's actually fitting that I give this away in December because the idea was actually born last year at Christmas time. I made Oliver his very first Christmas tree with mommy-made ornaments. He didn't care much at 2 months old but it made my hormonal self feel like new mommy of the year haha. Here they are pre-garland stage.

I glittered animals from the craft store for the rest of the "ornaments". It was an awesome, non-breakable option which I highly suggest for all the babes.
& yes, his tree says Olly jolly Christmas...I know I am a cheese ball but I couldn't resist. Our last years Christmas card is no different haha...yikes.
yep..I'm that Mom. haha
So I will shift back to the yarn ball garlands & the giveaway. The winner will be picked at random and to enter you just have to become a follower and leave a comment telling where you would put your garland if you won it. The deadline is Sunday night by midnight and the winner will be announced early next week. That's it. Super simple!
* And for those of you who would like one even if you don't win the giveaway, I will make & sell some to those of you who email me. I am happy to make them in the colors you would like as long as you let me know what you want. I have three different options (as far as sizing) and prices.
Smaller yarn ball garland $30

Larger yarn ball garland $40

Combination large & small yarn garland $45
I know it seems expensive. However, the items I need to make the garland are a little pricey or can be  when I have to buy multiple colors of yarn and Styrofoam balls etc. Don't forget I do have the DIY listed on my DIY page above for anyone who wants to save some money. If you're interested in any of the above garlands (in custom colors) then email me at ccschutz (at) gmail or you can leave me a comment. I hope that this helps you guys who don't feel like making your own. I wanted to offer to make them for you guys before I ever open up an Etsy store to everyone else. Because you guys are so supportive and the best! Just give me a shout out if you have any questions.

Good luck to everyone who enters the giveaway! I am excited about it. Have an awesome day....and for any of you who are not convinced (by the Christmas card alone) that I am super silly, check out these photos from last year at Christmas time. I just had to share with y'all!
On our way to see Santa (2 months old)

Christmas Eve....threatening me...I think haha.
Ahhh the joys of being a mom. See you guys tomorrow! Now join up & enter the giveaway ;.)

I love your yarn ball garlands! I would probably put it in our bedroom since it's the only room in the house that has not been decorated for Christmas yet!

The garland is so sweet! I would probably put this in my little boys' room. They keep taking decorations from other places and creating their own Christmas Cottage in their room. I loved the glittered animals...this should be your next tutorial! Oh and I am a follower via RSS.

Such a cool idea! I just joined up (happy to be a follower!)I think between my two cats and my two-year-old nephew (who took out my mantel display last year with one grab at a strategically placed garland!) I would need to hang this from the ceiling! Maybe a curtain rod...

My dinky 2ft tree could definatley use a few colorful garland balls to give it some pizzazz and when the holidays season comes to an end they would dangle happily from the half wall that separates my kitchen and dining spaces.
