Keeping it in the family

I cannot believe it is Wednesday already! Wooowhoo! I love me some hump day. I was so excited yesterday when a HUGE box arrived at my front door with my name on it. This little gem was hiding inside...

It is Oliver's totally studly, new little man chair. The funny thing is it's not really "new". It was actually the little chair my grandmother bought for me when I was a wee one & my Dad recently had it reupholstered. I am so excited to have a piece that is nearly 30 years old to pass down. I hope he has as many snack eating, tv watching, blanket clutching and chair rocking moments in it as I did. You can still see all of the "love" it endured on the arms (which I simply adore) and the old tacks were reused which gives it such charm. This chair is solid and special...I love that it's back home.

It could have also looked fantastic covered in a bold black & white striped pattern...maybe in another 30 years. I also can't hold it in any longer...I have to announce yesterdays giveaway winner, I felt like it deserved a fun glitter announcement....
