Another Confettisystem copycat DIY

Yay! It's Tuesday and my lil' man is a healthy-happy camper today, I finally got around to cleaning the house and catching up on laundry AND my pictures are edited and I am ready to share a DIY with you today! I'm telling you I feel like a new woman. Thanks so much for the comments and emails wishing Oliver good health, you guys are better than a donut covered in sprinkles.

I am so incredibly thrilled to be showing you my most recent project. Confettisystem has done it again and I have been smitten with this sparky gem for a while now.
Isn't it sort of fabulous?! It's a bit out of my price range (even though I am convinced those paper magicians deserve every penny they charge) but I wanted to use it as inspiration to create my own dangling dazzler.

and this is how I got there: using a hot glue gun, scissors, metallic tissue paper, cardboard, and some string for hanging. My total cost was a big fat $0. That makes it a 10 on my AWESOMENESS chart!

It was really easy (even though it took a thousand pictures to show you how I did it) ha-ha. And let me just throw a little "keeping it real disclaimer" out there...I'm pretty sure I did this technique completely wrong and I know I did the opposite of everything you are supposed to do. I had no clue what I was doing when I attempted this. I'm crazy like that. So if you're a brave and cool cat (like I try to convince myself that I am) you should totally fly your creative freak flag and attempt to make one of these things. They just make me happy! I hope it was as good for you as it was for me. I am now off to dream up some other absurd thing.

I'll see you amazingly inspirational folks tomorrow!

  1. Where did you see the original?! Love it!!

  2. Thanks girl. I saw it on confettisystem's website and had a huge design crush ;.)
