{time to celebrate} anniversary love

Today is a special day for me. For those familiar with the blog you know what a journey I have been on trying to lose weight. For those new to the blog you can read my story here. I am not yet at the end goal & where I want to be, but I am so thankful for how far I have come and how much I have kept off over the last 5 years. I hope those of you out there {struggling with your weight} know not to give up and to believe in yourself. I have been so amazed as to how much of a fighter was inside me just buried beneath all of the extra weight.

It was 5 years ago today that I woke up in a hospital bed to a new life. I wore a Burger King crown in post surgery delirium and struggled with soreness. I was on an all liquid diet for 30 days and so desperately feeling lost. Which thankfully was temporary. I soon began to say goodbye to the old me. It was the beginning of so many new things. It was the first step to working through my old self to make way in my heart for Oliver Tate who would be brought into the world 3 years later.

Thanks to all of you who encourage me to do better! Thanks to the small town I live in that keeps me away from fast food. Thanks to those who make me laugh! Thanks to my family who has always loved me and most importantly, thanks to the Hubs who see's the beauty in me no matter what size I am. There is so much love I am sending out to all of you today! I am 10 sizes smaller, armed with a smile, and always working towards a new goal. I am so thankful to have my life back!

Have a great day lovelies! Now I want an anniversary cookie to celebrate...is that wrong?! Haha Just kidding!
XOXO
