it made me fifty shades of crazy {for the trilogy}

Thursday, June 7, 2012

Okay ladies....I have to gab a little today. The good news is I crossed another item off of my 30 by 30 list yesterday (which was to read a book and get lost in it for fun). The bad news is...this happened.

My desire to know what everyone was talking about got the best of me. All reality seemed to disappear while reading it. I was drawn into it like a magnet I tell you. I am too embarrassed to go into detail of my wide range of emotions associated with this novel because family members read my blog. However, let's just say the Hubs was instructed to make a last minute Target run last night to get me book number 2 in the trilogy. Is it wrong that I feel like this series is the crack cocaine of romance novels and I keep jonesin' for a fix? That it somehow lures me in like a car wreck?! I just need to see how it ends up, to make sure everyone is okay, totally crazeballs,right?! I think I have lost my mind. Someone tell me I am not crazy.  I know better, but it's just so good that I'm pretending I don't!

Signed
your engrossed in book #2 blog gal pal & I'm not proud of it ;.)

Puuuuhhh-lease! No judgment. I cannot wait to get my grubby hands on this set. For reals. I could not be more excited to get on board!

Ah, this book is waiting for me on my Kindle and I'm forcing myself to wait until school is out for the summer (next week!) so I don't, you know, skip work to read it or something like that. :)

I read the first book and I'm currently on the wait list for Books 2 & 3 at the library. Yay for living in a liberal area of the country that hasn't banned the books at the public library ... yet!

This book is AMAZING!! I was actually late to work this morning because I couldn't put the book down. I am almost done with book number one and I plan on running to Target at lunch to get the second. Sad but true.

I read the first one while on vacation. When I saw the other two being sold at the airport I couldn't run over and buy them fast enough! They are addictive. Have fun reading! Laters, baby.

Ladies...I am SO GLAD to know I am not the only one. These books are amazing.....and strange, and crazy allllll at the same time. So glad I'm not alone and for those getting ready to read it...clear your calendars beforehand.

I have been hearing a lot about this book. Your post has really made me even more interested in reading it. I am on the second book in the Stieg Larson trilogy, "The Girl Who Played wtih Fire". When I get through those, I will have to get a copy of Fifty Shades.

Loved the series. I was actually embarrassed buying book two. The older lady that checked me out was looking at me with disapproval. Lol!
