Summer Sliders & a way to fizzle the hot summer sizzle

It's Tuesday & you know what that means....
and today we're concentrating on food. So grab a napkin, consult your tummies, and say goodbye to calorie concern, because I made a gourmet hamburger slider & something to chase it down with.

I seriously cannot tell you how delicious these cherry & brie sliders were.....Here it is demonstrated by somebody much cuter than me & even though he's a little guy, he can pull off the "food all over my face because it's soooo yummy" look- way better than I can.
To make them you mix some garlic and pureed dried cherries as well as salt and pepper into your beef. You need a hard leaf lettuce, some mayonnaise with a dash of lemon zest and pepper, as well as some caramelized onions cooked in butter....yep take that Paula Deen Haters. Some slider buns and some brie sliced for melting over your beef patties...the combo is amazing. It makes your taste buds dance and stick their tongue out at any diet....totally worth the splurge.

We washed it down with this little thirst quencher....

The mint green rimmed cup can be found here
It was my non-alcoholic take on a fun summer time beverage. It leaves your lips cool and your taste-buds happy. It is cucumber and mint infused water & it's sure to extinguish any summer time heat.

I prefer to strain the seeds out of the pitcher before serving. It tastes better the longer it sits in the fridge together.
It has been the perfect way to use some of our fresh mint that is currently overtaking the backyard. Problems schmoblems....
So what do you lovelies think? Are you getting hungrier just talking about these two things I like I am? My inner calorie counter is frowning at me in the corner....I'm choosing to ignore her. These brie and cherry burgers were out of this world and the lemon zest mayo took it over the top.

So go slice some cucumbers and make yourself a drink, prop up your feet, sit in the sun and start to enjoy your summer y'all!

Don't forget to check out Lindsay over at Sadie & Stella....she made a citrus sizzle cocktail that looks to die for but I would expect nothing less from such a talented gal with such great taste!

What are your favorite summer recipe go-to's? Please share them with me, I'm always wanting to try something new.

I love to hear your thoughts lovelies! Comment away!
