Cheap & chic {getting my organization diy on}

Hey there lovelies! I am showing you all today how cheap I really am (mostly out of necessity not always by choice). It's sort of embarrassing really. I can't tell you how many times I stand there with an empty paper towel roll or a small box and brainstorm what I could do with it before putting it in the trash. I am in no way a hoarder of such items and I am far from scraping the inside of a tube of toothpaste, but I like to think of myself as creatively cheap while being chic. It makes me feel better y'all! So here is my latest no cost diy & I was excited to share it with you.

Let me first introduce you to the problem child of the bathroom vanity. Ole' gal has potential, but she's a whole enchilada of messed upness... She is in need of some organization...bad.

Here are the key players that are going to help make this organization intervention happen....

I decided to make my own jewelry organizer with a recycled egg crate. Totally normal, right?!

It is the perfect holder of all things sparkly. Don't believe me? Just ask my jewels darling (said like Countess LuAnn).

and for any of you who think I have lost my mind (which I probably have between the Hubs and the toddler tornado) look at the difference it made & how polished the ole' vanity looks now.

I love being able to see what I have now. It's like going shopping in my drawers...wait, that sounded funny. You know what I mean. Loving my newest coral earrings? They are my most recent anthropologie purchase with a store credit. Score one for me!

I hope you all have a great day & don't forget to save your money egg crates for organizing!
xoxo

  4. Love it! Seriously, I'm going to have to get my bake on here soon so I can use up the rest of the eggs in the kitchen.

  6. This might just be the cutest thing I've ever seen. I bet some lacquer would make it even more durable.
