strap me to a table & introduce me to the dark passenger {OK, maybe not literally}

Today is a VERY exciting Friday! It is the launch of Halloween here on alittleglassbox as well as a huge celebration of Sunday's upcoming Dexter episode.

 If you're not a huge Dexter fan, then you probably don't understand the lure of a hot serial killer who totally rocks an all brown outfit with black gloves and makes syringes and micro-slides look cool. But he is just so dang addicting. And if you can get over the fact that the actress who plays his sister, was his real life wife and that you're watching a show that makes blood splatter patterns look interesting, then you and I can totally be bff's. In celebration of all things Michael C. Hall and in Dexterfide style, I came up with a "blood spatter" tablecloth made with butcher block paper and watered down acrylic paint that I simply splatter painted with a paintbrush. As well as, a cocktail that proudly displays toe tags and fun stripy straws. What's not to love?

Straws and Toe tags from Michael's & the glasses from Cost Plus World market.

Recipe found in Phyllis Hoffman's autumn gathering Magazine
I cannot wait to kick off Sunday's episode with a cocktail in hand. Are any of you having a party for the new season kick off? If so, I want to come! Also, for those who may be worried about the launch of Halloween on this site, don't worry. I will still be blogging about the same things and projects with a few holiday inspired DIY's every now and then. So what do you think? Are you getting into the Halloween spirit yet? It's my favorite time of year!

I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and a wonderful weekend. I will be attending a Halloween arts and crafts show (woooo whoooo) & packing for Texas and literally counting down the hours until Showtime and I have a date on Sunday night. Also a HUGE thanks for all the sweet comments and emails yesterday. You guys are the best! I hope to see y'all here on Monday!
