Hey there lovelies and happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. In-between working, running, and dress shopping, I was brainstorming for the little man's 2nd birthday which is officially less than a month away. I decided it might be fun to have custom balloons for his celebration and I came up with this little mock up for $1.99 per balloon.
All I needed was some paper, a sharpie, a Mylar balloon, scotch tape, craft store acrylic paint & paintbrush, and anything else you might want for embellishments. I decided to go with the silhouette theme & play around with it. Here is how I got my DIY on this weekend....
For this mock up I drew a silhouette, taped it to the balloon, traced it with sharpie and then painted it with 2 coats letting it fully dry in between coats. It was a 35 minute process which gave me just enough time to get caught up on my Real Housewives episodes (now that's what I call multi-tasking). I then played around with embellishing it.
I thought it could even be fun for a Halloween bash!
I simply used regular scotch tape to attach the embellishments to the balloon. It was at this point that my brain was having a field day dreaming up all of the endless possibilities.
So what do you think? Is it creative enough for a birthday party & does it make you want to get yo' cake walk on? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
