Get your halloween on {diy garland}

Yay! We all made it to Friday and what better way to celebrate the weekend than with a fun project? After going to the recent Halloween art show in Petaluma I was determined to diy a 'Happy Halloween' Garland because the prices were a little crazeballs. After making my own little paper creation, I can now appreciate the pricey price tags, however, I feel really satisfied having made my own & all with supplies I already had or found at my local craft store.

Here is what I used and what you will need to make one like mine...

Here are the basic steps
Tip: Don't spend time glittering, just buy glittered paper, it's so much easier.

Tip: You can use any font to print out. I used one called Bergamot. Also I used glittered Styrofoam balls to embellish and you could even use cute vintage looking stickers.

It was so satisfying to finally string it all together. It was like a big tall glass of milk to wash down a delicious chocolate chip cookie. My little paper garland found a new home on the front door (for now).

So now who else is going to brave the diy garland making world with me? I can't wait to hear all about it & please share any time saving tips you might have. I hope you all have a fantastically frightful weekend & drink an extra pumpkin spice latte for me.

    What a great tip to buy glittered paper. Glittering holds me back because my three young daughters can't.help.themselves. And seriously, who can blame them! lol!

    I have a little martha garland from a few years back that I may embellish after seeing this! It says "trick or treat." Thanks for the inspiration! I haven't even decorated yet. eek!
    Thanks Courtney! Always loads of eye candy here!!!
