It feels a little strange to me to be sitting down to write a happy post tonight knowing that a lot of my friends, my cousin David, and a lot of you precious readers are battling such a horrible hurricane. I think of my house in Baltimore and it makes me sad to know its in the middle of a storm all alone. I think of the little kiddos who were looking forward to Halloween and now may not be able to dress up or go trick-or-treating. I think of the damage, the emotional toll, and all of the rescue workers working countless hours. Today I want you all to know I am praying for you and as a wife to a Coast Guardsman, I want you to know I understand the frustration and the feeling of helplessness such a storm can muster up.
For the rest of you, who are thankful to not be going through such weather (much like I am) let's embrace the last day before Halloween for all of those who may not be able to celebrate. Today marks the last Halloween project of 2012 on alittleglassbox which makes this gal super sad but excited to move on to Thanksgiving and my 30th birthday! You all know I am a sucker for making things just a little more special. So I decided to make a fun candy "grab bag"....all I used was glue dots, little paper mini-bags, and inexpensive plastic skeleton hands from Michaels...and I came up with a creepy candy holder.
It's been a huge hit with the little man and I am quite fond of them myself. It was the perfect project to use up the rest of my Halloween craft goodies. A few of these spooky babies will be waiting for some trick-or-treaters on Wednesday. Lucky them.
I am now off to finish working on some Halloween costume tweaks & watch an episode of Dexter. I love me some Michael C Hall! I hope you all have a fantastic Tuesday & for everyone dealing with storms stay safe!
