Helloooooooo Lovelies! I missed you all bunches yesterday. I am back from my trip and feeling so relaxed! I cannot wait to share some of the details with you later this week, but today I'm wishing my little man a happy 2nd birthday.
There is something so magical about your birthday when you're a kid. Parties, cake, family, friends, presents....it all seems so fantastic that you wait in anticipation all year and then are saddened when it's over. As adults we sort of lose some of that magic as we quickly watch our lives go by and each birthday seems a bit closer than the last. So I'm making it my goal to celebrate Oliver every year, by teaching him to embrace his life and the memories we are making, not just the cake and presents. This little boy changed my life two years ago. And truly it was love at first kick for me. We planned for him and waited for him, and loved him immediately His sweet little cheeks were so kissable, his hands so easy to hold....my little man captured my heart making all of the delivery and the past two years of learning worth every minute. Each tear we have dried & story we have read....each bath time adventure or simple moment of riding quietly in the car, have been ones I will guard inside my memory bank and hold onto for dear life. Because like so many who have said it before me, he will be grown and on his own before I know it.
Oliver Tate: Thank you for making me your mama. Thank you for making me laugh and forcing me to grow. And most of all, thank you for letting me get to be the one to see you experience all of your firsts. You are my favorite little man & I'm already so proud of you!
Here's to many more years and lots of birthday fun!
