I'm thankful Friday

It's Friday and I am so glad it's Friday! This has been a really long week and I am so thankful to get a few days to regroup so I can get my head wrapped around what's in store for my little family next. Do you ever feel that way? And with Thanksgiving a mere 20 days away I thought it might be fun to have "I'm thankful Friday's". From now until Thanksgiving I am going to say what I am thankful for and I invite you to do the same in the comment section. To kick it off today I am actually going to give two reasons I am thankful.

The first reason I am thankful is for my family. It is no secret here on the ole' blog that we have no interaction with my hub's immediate family. It was recently told to me that they don't even consider my son their grandson. Instead of this defeating me and making me unbelievably sad, I decided to turn it around to be thankful for my family. They are loving, giving, and crazy...three amazing components to make up a great support system for my son. Whether we are owl hunting in the trees, eating mystery dinner, making gingerbread houses, sharing a bowl of chili, or warding off evil sweater eating the end of the day we are a family and I am so thankful for that.

The second reason I am thankful is that I get to stay at home and write this blog for a living. It feeds me creatively, I adore you all being a part of my day and I couldn't do any of it without my fantastic sponsors. I am so thankful for them. So I just want to give a long over due shout out to some of these special peeps.

Trohv, Gotta Have it girl, K. Flick, Highfield Designs, Easton Place
And the lovely & sweet Patti over at Easton Paper Lovelies is offering an awesome promotion until November 15th where you buy one greeting card you get one free. Super code needed & at checkout make sure to specify what card you want for free. She also is introducing a new custom line of paperweights. I am in love with them and think they would be great company Holiday gifts. So make sure and head on over to her shop and show her some love.

So now that I have spilled my thankful guts for today...I want to know... What are you thankful for? I think it is so important with all of the devastation going on around the country that we take the time to say what we are thankful for in these moments (as well as in the wonderful moments of our lives). Our struggles, our life stories, our compassion, it's what bonds us all. So please remember to have a thankful heart and be kind to one another.

I will see you incredible peeps on Monday.

  2. I'm grateful for my husband, the way he loves me and the incredible relationship God's blessed us with!

And secondly, I'm grateful for this blog! For the inspiration it provides, the projects you share and your transparency and honesty. You're my first stop every morning while I sip on my coffee! :)

  3. I love your attitude! I have been stressed out lately... 3 kids age 4 and under who are sick, a 20 yr old living with us while working for us (no privacy and extra work), husband working late (anywhere from 8pm-12) and I am exhausted. But... I have a wonderful family and faith and I sometimes forget how lucky we are. So I am going to sit down today with a cup of coffee and prop up my feet and regroup.

  4. As much as I complain about little things I really am truly grateful to be safe and secure. A roof over our heads, food on the table and a few extra pennies to spend on silly things that make me happy.

PS: Love, love that paperweight. Might have to hint that it would make a great stocking stuffer!

  5. thankful for health and vision (both literally and figuratively).
    have a wonderful weekend!

  6. Thank you sweet lovelies so much for sharing what you're thankful for. I am so glad and thankful you ALLOW me to be a part of your busy days. Love to all of you!

I love to hear your thoughts lovelies! Comment away!
