Today is a VERY exciting day for me! I not only get to share my new favorite thing with all of you....but, you will find me nestled in a movie theater seat tonight, eating ranch flavored popcorn and indulging in my inner tween fantasy at Breaking Dawn part II. I know it sounds creepy...and a soon to be 30 year old sitting in a theater of twilight-oholics might be a tad creeptastic, but I'm not going to let that stop me. What can I say? I love me some Edward & Jacob action! Are any of you going to see it tonight when it opens up? Let me know I'm not alone nor crazy.
I also spent the day yesterday working on a fun Thanksgiving inspired DIY and I cannot wait to share it tomorrow. But for now...there are more pressing matters to discuss. Such as....my new favorite thing.
As a former 300 pound person I did whatever I could to deter attention away from myself. So this year I was determined to embrace my inner bold gal and wear (proudly) a bright red coat. If I am being completely honest with myself and you, this is the first year that the idea of wearing a red coat in public didn't terrify me. So I recently went on the hunt for my own little scarlet number (which my parents sweetly paid for as an early 30th birthday present. *shout out to the rents*). And I must say. I struck gold at Bluefly. Between their awesome discounts, a special promo code I found for being a first time customer, as well as a free shipping coupon...I scored a $325 Donna Karren Wool coat for a total of $126. I could not believe what a steal it was. And the best part is that it has different looks (casual as well as dressy because it allows the option of a detachable hood).
I simply LOVE it! And I finally feel free of my self-conscious demon that is slowly but surely getting the boot! So a HUGE thank you goes out to all of you. You've helped me to start feeling comfortable enough in my own skin to be able to embrace my inner fashion diva who has been screaming for a red coat for years! I have finally shushed her.
I hope you are all having a great week. Don't forget to come back tomorrow for a last minute Thanksgiving DIY.
