Let's Spoon {Want it for less marquee sign}

It's Wednesday y'all! Which means two things...I am off to the dentist today *womp womp* & it's Want it for less Wednesday! And I must say today's project is my favorite so far! I am also excited to give you a little peek into the (not yet completed) master bedroom...but it's getting there.

I have been desperately wanting a customized marquee sign. However, the individual light up letters are super pricey. I could afford to maybe write "NO" on the wall with the cost of each letter being so high. But I came across an amazing tutorial on Oh, Hello Friend & I was able to make my own customized marquee sign. I am so in love with it and I was able to do it for super cheap! Soooooo Let's Spoon y'all!

I know it seems like a strange thing to have in the bedroom, but seriously it makes me smile every time I open the door... and it provides tons of extra light in our room, which is important since this rental house doesn't have any overhead lighting in the bedrooms. Here is more of a peek into the room so you can see how it is all coming together.

I really love how it is starting to feel and getting into bed at night feels so incredibly relaxing, which tells me I'm on the right track.

My favorite part of DIYing my own marquee sign was that I got to be as creative as I wanted when choosing what to say. Which makes me curious, what would you write in large letters on your wall? We debated between pillow fight, awesome sleeps here, and zzzzzzz. Ultimately Let's Spoon won!

I hope you all have a great Wednesday and say prayers for my dentist visit if you get a quick second!

  9. I'm coming to the marquee party wayyyyy late, but I LOVE this so much! :) I was wondering how you hid all of your wires? I'm thinking about doing this over our bed, but I want to make sure I can make it all work before I present the idea to my husband. :) ha!

  11. Hello!

    I have been drooling over this marquee for MONTHS. And last night, over much coffee and pie, I did it! I made the marquee! I just have one question. How on EARTH did you hang it? And there are no cords strung all over your wall! I would love some help.

    Happy Friday!
