As you guys know I have not only been working on the re-design of the master bedroom, but we have also little by little (as budget allows) been working on transitioning Oliver’s room into a toddler’s haven. One of my favorite things in his entire room is his rocking chair.
The love for this chair was instantaneous (after discovering it at 6 months old) on our first real family vacation. We stayed at some pretty amazing hotels on that road trip and at the Aloft hotel in Dallas in-particular Olly quickly became smitten by this sleek & modern Eames inspired number.
As soon as we got back home and started to prepare for our cross country move, I knew I had to get my hands on one of these rockers for our new digs. I was lucky enough that Trohv started carrying them and they were super affordable. We have had this rockin' guy ever since.
The problem is becoming as he gets older and more “monkey” like…I am worried about him climbing on it to reach things and falling since it rocks back and fourth. I know it’s totally mama paranoia but needless to say, I have an extremely active boy and don’t live close enough to an emergency room, haha. And even though I know my little man really would LOVE a fun replacement, perhaps a bean bag chair, I need to figure out if the space in his room should be taken up by something like a book case for him since we aren't doing quite as much sitting, but more playing these days.
**So here is where you guys come in. I need info from those of you with toddlers as to what I need more in his room….a place to sit or more storage for toys and books? Help this new toddler mama out. I’ll love you forever!
