As soon as the Hubs & I got back to Point Reyes from our vacation we decided that we wanted to do something special for the little man. We spent part of our vacation reminiscing on how as kids we used to disappear outside during the summer and come home when either dinner was ready or when it was dark outside. In order to continue this tradition in our household for our little guy we thought it would be fun to create an inexpensive outdoor play tent. Here is what we made after seeing this inspiration. Needless to say, the little man adores it and pretty much thinks we are the coolest parents alive.
Now he is free to chase bugs, play with his cars, and "read" to his stuffed animals with his own little nook to crawl into. The project came in at only $60 for fabric, hardware, and wood. It was worth every penny considering all of the memories it will make and inspire. I will be back with the DIY details this week in case your little one might like a tent of their own as well.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
