I hope you all had an awesome weekend! I had no clue such an awesome day known as National Ice Cream Day existed. But I tell you my sweet friends...it does. It is every third Sunday in July & I made it my duty to celebrate it right with the Hubs & the lil man. I am not sure who came up with this idea...all the kids craving sugar or the ice cream companies. Either way, pure genius I tell you. And since this mama is trying to lose some extra pounds, I decided to make it an ice cream and Popsicle party.
We indulged is some cold delicious treats and played with fun, ice cream cone sidewalk chalk (found in the Target $1 section). I also made a bright Popsicle garland out of decorative paper I already had and simply taped it to yellow string. It was easy and set the mood for our afternoon party. I even let the little man skip his nap time...shhhhhh, don't tell. It was all in the spirit of ice cream!
Can y'all tell I coordinated the little man's outfit? Guilty. I also dipped sugar cones in melted chocolate and sprinkles. Why? Because I could. And truly, so one day when the little man is hating me I can pull out these pictures to prove I was a good mama. Another true story.
I hope you guys took advantage of the yummy day of ice cream celebration as well. I wish you all the best week ever & I'll be back Wednesday for another tasty post.
