Today is reveal day for my thrift store desk project that I tackled over the weekend. I hope you're ready for a picture palooza because that's exactly what you're in for. I don't know if I was more excited to be shooting the finished desk or my artist model who happened to be quite dapper. I'm thinking it was a little of both.
The project cost me a total of $20. I merely used Rustoleum spray paint in white & lemon grass to transform the chair and bottom metal shelf. An inexpensive can of chalkboard paint transformed the desk top into a (soon-to-be) three year old's chalk paradise. The paint only set me back $16 and the desk itself was a steal, at $4.
I opted to use a little metal basket to mount onto the side of the desk top for chalk and color storage. Let's just say, this tiny artist loves to crawl up in it and to create (it's also become a freeway for his cars & a work bench for his tools-who knew).
This is by far one of my favorite thrift store projects to date. What do y'all think? ...I am off to "Table Top Farm clean up day" today. Wish me luck...manual labor is good for the soul, right?! So I guess I am off to enrich my soul...See you lovelies later.
