*I am my grandfathers granddaughter. His love for discovery, airplanes, research, and photography- all have lead me to living an artists life. Each day holds something new, everything feels like a personal challenge and life is anything but boring.
*I am also reminded that maintaining weight-loss is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I always thought the struggle was getting it off. Now my struggle is allowing myself to enjoy the hard work and continue the effort to maintain.
*Family should always be forgiven and siblings are extensions of yourself. I adore you sweet sister.
*Life with a toddler is so incredibly rewarding, yet irritating. Why can't they just come with an owners manual and the ability to potty on the potty on their own? I appreciate books like Chug A Chug A Poo Poo, however, miss reading adult books. But, with that said. They smile and say I love you and the world becomes less grumpy and more beautiful. True Story.
*Always find time to do what you love. It's not uncommon for me to write in the wee hours of the night or morning. But when you love something, make time for it.
*Friends are just as important as family. I could NOT live my life to the fullest without good people surrounding me. They are uplifting, encouraging, forgiving, motivating....Lizzy New, Josh, Kevin, Brad, Elizabeth, Derek & the sweet peeps of Point Reyes you are all amazing to me.
*And lastly, more of my days should be filled with laughter, warm chocolate chip cookies, hiking, Melissa McCarthy, sparkly things, day trips, live music, prayer, and always showing a thankful heart. (Because in all seriousness) at the end of the day I am pretty darn thankful and proud to be 31 and always growing in my efforts to be a good person and a good mother.
Thanks so much for being a part of my life and growing with me over the past year. And to all my fellow December babies...let's make getting older look goooooooood.
