The other night my girlfriends called and invited me to an impromptu birthday dinner celebration for a sweet friend. I decided to change out of my 'working from home' clothes and actually doll myself up for an evening out. Red lipstick, a rhinestone embellished sweater, and a pair of heels later I was about to leave the house but then panicked when I realized I was heading out empty handed. Even though a gift was not necessary, I still felt like I wanted to do something special for a gal who continues to put a smile on my face and who is there to listen to me daily. I went to town and spent a wallet friendly $7.50 on some gorgeous tulips. I also took a few minutes to scour my yard for greenery and other miscellaneous flowers. I was able to throw this small little arrangement together and I couldn't have been more in love with the magenta and citrus yellow color combination.
Thanks to my mother for introducing me to the wonderful world of flowers and teaching me some of the basics. I never knew how much I would need these skills. It made me wonder if you guys might want me to share a few flower arranging secrets with all of you? So I thought I would ask. So tell me, are any of you gorgeous divas wanting to let your inner florist out?
And if any of you were curious she loved her flowers and I felt so much better showing up with something. I was able to sit back, enjoy some bubbly, and eat entirely way too much savory crab bread pudding and orange pistachio cake. All I can say to that is heaven in my mouth and for any of you who follow me on Instagram now you understand my workout pictures.
I hope you all have a lovely day.
