...Well how is that for a disappearing act? I cannot believe I have been MIA for a year! I don't even know where to start. Do I even admit I almost forgot how to upload a new post? YIKES! I want to grab a cup of coffee. Sit down with you all and catch up on life. What has been going on? What sneaky sneak is creepin' out of some neighbors back door? I want to know the gossip...ALL of the juicy sweet details of the blogging world.
In the spirit of a virtual gab session I must say that my life has changed a lot. I still call California home but that is about all that is the same. Blogging & decorating seem to take a backseat these days, but my little Oliver keeps me busy now that he is in big boy school and I have a full time job. The divorce has been quite an experience. It has taken a toll but taught me so much about myself and what I can truly handle when push comes to shove. All of these things continue to take my life in new directions and I am embracing the entire journey. EWWWWW gross. I just used the word journey. Don't worry, I rolled my eyes at myself so you don't have to. ...Let's see what else is new. I am currently smitten with winter photography on Pinterest. I am over the phrase "It is what it is", I am about to celebrate the big 33 next week, and I don't really give a darn about the color of Starbucks cups this season (I'd cuss here but don't forget I'm Southern). Most days end in exhaustion, the house in not quite as clean, but I am loving every minute of it. My goal is to come back to this ole' friend, find my blog voice again and help Stella get her groove back.
With that said, I couldn't wait to share my latest project with all of you! Oliver's room got a little Christmas make over. I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning getting it ready for a surprise reveal when he came home from his Dad's house. For a five year old he delivered quite a satisfying reaction. He now has named his room the North Pole. Makes this mama's heart happy. Little does he know he will be getting a new bed for Christmas and this will be the last few weeks with this yellow gem. So here is the holiday eye candy. Don't be scurrrrrred to let this rusty gal know if I've still got it or not.
...Now that I uploaded enough pictures to make up for the last year I need some Southern Comfort egg Nog....I guess some things never change. See you soon! Happy Holidays!
